Report Out: How Is Your Hospital Handling the CMS Rule Change?

Effective today, October 1st, Medicare will stop paying hospitals for complications arising from ten preventable Hospital Acquired Conditions (HACs). Many of these conditions are the result of poor infection control, short-staffing, and over reliance on temporary workers and mandatory overtime.
